Now The Addams Family is not a horror movie, but you would be remiss if you skipped over Wednesday Addams when you have the items necessary to become her. This is an iconic outfit, and Wednesday Addams’ character has gone through multiple iterations. If you have a black dress with a white collar or even a white collared shirt underneath a high neck little black dress you can pull off Wednesday with not much else but a specific hairstyle.

This outfit consists of a Victoria Beckham for Target Bunny Shift Dress that I bought from someone on ebay. It was a little above what I’d usually pay for a dress, but I’ve been trying to find a dress that I could use for Wednesday Addams (and want to wear again, not like a cheap costume) ever since I got the long dark hair wig. (Side note: the month of October is not the month to obtain one as everyone jacks their price up.) I added a pair of black tights and the Unlisted Mary Jane heels I wore for The Ring: Samara Morgan.

For my hair, I used the same long, dark wig that I’ve used for Samara Morgan and Jennifer Check from Jennifer’s Body, but this time I put it into two braids to get that classic Wednesday look. For my makeup, I used an L.A. Colors Matte Lipstick in an undetermined shade on my lips. The numbers on my tube don’t match anything on the internet. I also have a little black mascara on my eyelashes.

I did not use an accessory, and for my prop, I used this gold skull catchall that I borrowed from my brother. If I had more time or didn’t have a skull on hand, I would upcycle a bottle into a drinking vessel labelled Poison.

Catch me back here tomorrow for another “work with what you’ve got!” Halloween costume, cosplay outfit idea.
