The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Erin Hardesty

Some of the character outfits I’ve presented I’ve specifically mentioned they would work for cold weather events or any Halloween party where you need to keep warm. Today’s character outfit is a recreation of Jessica Biel’s portrayal of Erin Hardesty in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre that came out in 2003 and definitely not one to choose during a chilly Halloween in a colder climate. However, if you’re going to a bar like Coyote Ugly or going to be entering into a wet T-shirt contest, this ensemble might just help you score big!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Erin Hardesty Outfit

This outfit consists of a tagless white tank top and a pair of Levi’s 518 Superlow Bootcut Blue Jeans that I’ve owned both for so long that I have no recollection of how they came into my life. I didn’t have any squared toed brown boots a la 2003, so I chose these Keen Bern Baby Bern Boots that I bought literally yesterday at a thrift store for $19.99.

For my hair, I just wore it down. Some of the pictures I also had a paper straw cowhand hat on that I think might have come from Avon or Mark. I’ve actually tried to get rid of this hat at least twice since it is very far from my day-to-day aesthetic. After this photoshoot though, I’m thinking about trying some new outfits around it, so please let me know if you have any tips on how to shape it properly! There’s wire in the outer rim, and I have no idea what I’m doing.

For makeup, I only have lip balm on my lips and maybe a little eyeliner/mascara residue that didn’t scrub off completely.

For my accessory, I’m wearing a Relic by Fossil belt that I inherited from my spouse after they outgrew it.

For my prop, I have this bloody meat cleaver that I also purchased yesterday at a thrift store for $1.99. The universe was smiling on me yesterday. Everything was coming up Milhouse!

My friends and I were on our way back from Mexico where I thought my boyfriend Kemper was going to put something sparkly on my finger, but no, the actual reason for the trip was to bring back 2lbs of marijuana.
We met a hitchhiker who changed our life forever.
When we talked to the locals they suggested we wait for the sheriff at the mill.
Some of us went to the nearby house for help. I won’t spoil what happens, but there is definitely an appearance from both a chainsaw and a meat cleaver!

Catch me back here tomorrow for another “work with what you’ve got!” Halloween costume, cosplay outfit idea.
